Guest guest
Hi...as the seasons/weather/temps can affect our autoimmune disorders, I am finding out that the same affects the BiPolar 2. Since this is my first Spring since receiving that dx, this is all new to me. Does anyone else notice these types of 'cycles' with emotional problems/issues? The last couple of weeks have been bumpy, and I have noticed changes, not for the good. My counselor says we will watch this, and try to assess if this is 'cycling.' Gentle hugs... Guest guest
ABSOLUTELY! without a doubt. Seasonal Affective Disorder is very real and can cause cycling and mania. Decreased sleep, higher energy, altho for some people mania might not exhibit as happy giddy euphoric but irritable, anxious, nervous. In winter some docs use light therapy, in summer, some people need increased meds. Used to be people called it " March madness " or " spring Fever " And come fall people with seasonal affective compnonats can slide deeper into the depressive side. Actually, many researchers now think this was for better self preservation. Way way back in primitive times, so people could kinf od hiberante in winter and work super effectively in summer. - In , " Grammi B " <grammi_love@...> wrote: > > Hi...as the seasons/weather/temps can affect our autoimmune disorders, I am finding out that the same affects the BiPolar 2.
