Know the feeling...I had a *boy scout* try to help me down a hill at a

theme park one day...even though I was already holding onto the rail!

Talk about being in pain and feeling ancient... :-(

Hey guys,

Before i had RA i was watching TV show about people problems, one old

man (more than 70 years) was complaining about how pavements in our country are

very high for him to climb up or down on it. Of course i laughed for hours with

my friends.

After my RA i have days where i really really sit down on the pavement

crying and refusing to complete my walk cuz pavements are really to high for me

(lol). You should see me it was hilarious cuz i only said one thing while

crying, i was saying " IM ONLY 26, IM ONLY 26 " lol

But i thought if i take my medication it wont go that bad????? will it

go that bad again guys?????????

Anyway even if it went bad we have a lot in our lifes to do, i still have

plans and dreams, so all of u keep the hard work and have fun specially if ur

pavements are well done.

Marwa,

We all hope that our RA won't go that bad if we take our medication. So

far Enbrel is working for me. I consider myself one lucky lady because

of that. I just hope that it continues to work for a long, long time.

Fortunately, I didn't get RA until I was 60, six years ago. I consider

myself lucky because of that, too.

What medications are you on?

Thansk for the nice email and all the suggestions. I know for a fact that

stress is rough on both fibro and RA. Where is Ca are you from? Both of my

sons live in Fairfield. We just moved from Arizona to Georgia-I miss Arizona

and if I ever win the lottery (ha ha) I will buy a winter home there. For

now I am here to be with my family.

I have not gone to a doctor here in Georgia yet. My motyher has one that I

think I will go to-I just saw a nice ad about all he takes care of and

arthritis is one of the things-so hopefully he can help me and also with the

fibro. My methotrexate is almost up and needing refilled.

So you take folic acid with your methotrexate? My dr. put me on that too.

I take zanaflex too-it is the best thing to relax me that I have ever tried.

I take 2 before bedtime and if I hurt really bad I take tylenol pm with it.

Then I am zonked out. I also take ultram for pain which is very helpful and

I took it for years and it enabled me to continue working as an RN-but now

it does not work all the time and I have to go to darvocet, vicodin and

sometimes even oxycontin do not help.

Mostly here is what I take: methotrexate, folic acid, vitamin, neurontin,

and pain meds. I also take an antidepressant since I suffer from that also.

It is great to find someone that has both of the things that Ihave though. I

have fibro friends and RA friends but none with both. My home email is sarah

tait@... if you want to email me there.

hugs,

You can use the emu oil with the burn ointment. The emu oil will penetrate all

the way down to were the cells are being made and will help it to heal MUCH

quicker! It works much better than Vit E as Vit E doesn't penetrate but just

adds elasticity to the skin to help it to stretch as it heals. The emu will

rebuild the cells at such a faster rate. If you have trouble finding it, let me

know!

Kathe,

I too thought that you were recalling a prior incident

to make a point! I am so sorry that you have had all

this additional pain and suffering...Lord knows you

have suffered enought with RA and all your other

Diagnoses....be really careful about infection!! There

are some really nasty germs out there, and your

resistance is low due to RA meds...so please be extra

careful....prayers for your speedy healing going

out!!!I hope you look into that EMU oil,,if they use

it in burn ceters it has gotta be good!!! Take care!! jenna
