Hi ,

I will be starting on Humira tomorrow after a 4 month trial on

Enbrel that was not that successful. (it helped some, but not nearly

enough) I have been on 20 mg(.8 ml)MTX for quite a while now, but my

liver values are heading up again. My doc told me to cut the MTX

back down to 15 mg per week. Is there some magic number in terms of

how much MTX seems to make the Humira work better? Or is that a

matter of trial and error too?

My liver values went WAY out of whack on Arava, but seemed to settle

back down once I had been off the Arava for a while, even though I

remained on the MTX.
