Hi all!

I am new to the group and thought I would take a moment to introduce myself.

I am a 46 year old single mom living in Lakeland, FL. Over the years I

developed many of the fibromyalgia symptoms... Extreme joint and muscle

pain, bowel problems, chronic severe headaches, difficulty sleeping... but

never realized that all of the symptoms were related.

I guess that my symptoms started with IBS and headaches began in my

mid-teens and gradually worsened as I got older. So I went along for years

just thinking that I just had various assorted things wrong as I was getting

older.

Fortunately, I had a job in information systems and gradually started

working for myself at home, which was a big help with my health being up and

down for so many years.

Eventually I started seeing a naturopath who told me that I have

fibromyalgia. My pain and other symptoms disappeared within 3 months after

she started me on a low GI diet and taking an OPC isotonic supplement. I

feel better than I have in 20 years and love sharing with others what I've

learned

I still have sleep problems occastionally, and take a natural supplement for

that as well containing Magnesium, Wild jujube seed extract, Melatonin,

Passionflower extract, Mucuna pruriens seed extract, Valerian root extract,

Lemon balm extract, Chamomile Extract and Hops Extract.

Having an understanding support network at home helps alot too. I spent

several years with a very unsupportive, abusive, alcoholic spouse. After our

divorce, I was a single mom for 15 years. There were some difficult times,

to say the least. My boyfriend of the past 3 years has been very supportive.

Don't know what I would do without him

Anyway, I didn't mean to go on for so long. I look forward to getting to

know you all
