Guest guest
I haven't been on this group in some time. I take Celexa, but had researched this group for a friend that was taking Lexapro. Now I have another friend who is. So I am on site, again. I have a question for you Charisse. I also get panic attacks, but they seem controlled on my Celexa. What are yours like? I know that they are extra difficult if they happen at work. I had my last one a year ago, on a trip I took that was stressful for me. I don't travel well. I popped my xanax right away, and it did kick in eventually. ~dagmar ....I have considered quitting my job and > just doing temp work. Is temp work fun? My only worry is that I'm > not doing well with my panic attacks and anxiety and I think having > to go into a new work situation would only make it worse. Guest guest
Charise, I INDEED know what you mean and how you feel. So, remember this: The Anticipation is ALWAYS worse than the reailty of anything! Personally, I get dizzy headaches which must be a manifestation of the anxiety. Even though it sucks, i know now it is just that... a FEELING. I take as little xanax as possible too. Hope that helps, Faiv
Guest guest
Hi Dagmar. I'm glad to hear Celexa controls your panic attacks. I am trying to decide if I should try going on Celexa again and suffer through the side effects for a few weeks or if I should try Lexapro. For me the panic attacks are usually brought on by my feeling nauseated, hot or any other sensation in my body like light headedness sometimes. I get super hot and nauseated, my heart races, I have to use the bathroom several times and I just feel trapped. Sometimes I will start to shake all over. I understand everyone experiences panic attacks in different ways so you may have some or none of these symptoms. I don't ever fear dying or feel as if I'll have a heart attack. I just have to escape whatever situation I am currently in and get in a " safe " place when I get an attack. Safe usually means home or someplace cool outside or my car. Not work or any other public function or restaurant. I can't ride in cars with others because I have no control. I can't ride public transport of any kind and I hate flying! My anxiety stems from a fear of vomiting but I'm also just plain anxious for no darn good reason. I use Ativan for the panic attacks but I'd like to get on something to prevent them from happening in the first place. Did you have any weird sides when starting Celexa? I broke the pill down to around 2 mg and I felt light headed, drugged and nauseated about 3 hours after taking that very low dose. I guess that meant it was working huh?
