I would strongly suggest a visit to the ER -- My first flare up (I was

literally paralyzed) brought me to the ER and they increased my dose of

steroids (I was already taking 40mgs of pred a day) and the symptoms

were reduced in a matter of a few hours.

You know it can't hurt to find out what they can do --

Also, many pharmacists will give you a " loaner dose " if there a record

of ongoing use of that med -- if it's a med like that or prednisone or

maintenance pain meds.

I hope you get some relief soon!!!!!!

[ ] ER visit

Date: Friday, April 3, 2009, 12:21 AM

I woke up this morning feeling really bad. I started my daily routine of

turning on the tv and found that it was flipping but it really wasn't flipping.

My eyes were playing tricks on me. I went to the bathroom and washed my face and

became dizzy along with the blurred vision. I decided that it was not a good day

to goto work. So I called my boss who informed me I needed to bring in

documentation for being out. So, I went down to the local ER, can't afford my

co-pay for my insurance at the moment finances are extremely tight. They drew 3

tubes of blood, and gave me some pain meds and a cat scan which all came back

negative. The PA was very nice but insistant that I get an appointment for a

full eye exam that she made for me for tomorrow so I'm off to the eye doctor. I

am wondering if my RA is now causing vision issues. On top of having the blurred

vision I also had a major headache one I have never felt before, so bad I didn't

even want to move all I

wanted to do was sleep. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a better day then I

am. My monday was worse then today though maybe I will tell sometime but its a

bit graphic, work was hell that day.

Have a pain free day and night

in maryland
