Guest guest
Penny, I'm sorry your in so much pain. I don't know a lot about RA but I can sympathize with you about pain right now. I went to the doc (nurse) yesterday and they gave me Ultram for my pain. What is funny is, is that it is suppose to make you sleepy. WHATEVER. All it does for me is make the pain more bearable right now. They still haven't figured out what is going on with me. I hope you get some answers soon!!! I need information on RA meds and pain meds. Right now, I am only on Cymbalta, Tylenol for arthritis, amitriptyline and vicodin pnr for break-through pain. I have the day off and I have to grocery shop and should clean the bathroom and kitchen and scrub the floor. It one of those weeks when a part-time job is almost too much. I will do the grocery shopping first and rest for an hour and then tackle the cleaning... I am calling the doctor's office for a referral to a rheumatologist. I have not went in over six years and I am pretty sure about the RA. I am scared, but I think it is good that I have kind of figured out why I am in so much pain. This has happened for a few months now, but it took awhile for me to admit the problem. Part of me is really, really scared, but knowing for sure what I have will actually help me. My little hands are swollen and shaking from pain and my knees and ankles are also hurting. My elbows and wrists are really bad also. Gosh, the whole thing sucks, but I guess that is part of accepting it. Penny
Guest guest
Hi Penny, Please do see a rheumatologist! He can answer all your questions about RA. I don't have RA but have had fibro for several years. My rheum is very good. You do have every right to be scared about getting RA. I would be to if my joints start swelling. You are way more ambitious then me to go grocery shopping, then come home and clean the bathroom and scrub a floor! It takes me all day to just clean our kitchen floor. My husband ends up doing it most of the time. warm hugs, Debbie L --- In , " pennygruetz " <PennyGruetz@...> wrote: > > I have had fibromyalgia for about ten years and recently have > developed what I believe is rheumatoid arthritis.
