Guest guest
Hi All, Contacted a skin infection out of nowhere, in my lower leg. Because of this I'm off my Enbrel for 3 wks now. Was on a IV antibiotics for 4 days and pills after that.......finished pills....still have infection. These Ontario doctors are lame brains. I told them I'm not normal as far as my immune system, but their communition skills are sadly lacking. As you guys well know my joints are rasing hell with me since I've been off Enbrel. The doctors in the E-room at the hospital said giving me two vials at a time (anti-biotics)was over kill....but that's is with someone " normal " and not with the added factor of RA and an immune system that is not normal. My thinking is DO the over kill and get this infection out of my body. DUH!!! Is this to much to ask. The Celluitis, the infection can go deep into the tissue and turn into that Flesh Eating crap and could lose part of the leg if you don't keep after it. In the US the medical system is costly, but a MUCH better system, cause you can sue the shit out of them if they mess up. The Ontario Government pays the doctors so the insentive to do their very best is NOT there. It's a numbers game but the patient is the loser.
