Prednisone - How long til it works?

I have been in a flare for awhile now and finally broke down and went

to the doc and agreed to the prednisone. I am on a tapering dose 4

for 3 days, 2 for 4 or 5 days and 1 for 5 days. The next day it had

started helping my tendonitis. That was fabulous as nothing thus far

has worked!!! My back isn't responding as of yet and it drives me

crazy. I feel so yukky!! Anyhow, the fatigue, weakness has not

subsided this time as of yet anyhow. Does anyone recall how long it

takes to feel somewhat better? My ankle is acting up again today.

I'm so frustrated. I still have not got my results back on the

cryoglobulins, I don't know what the hold up is? I'm hoping with the

hepatitis it is okay to take the prednisone? So far the only thing

they have found is a polyp in the lumen of the gall bldder and my hep

quantitive keeps coming back with no #? Wierd! I sure hope that the

new rheumy can and will offer some hiope with all of this. I just get

to where I'm emotoinally better just to turn around and be back down
