That sounded like my husband till i went to see the Rheumatologist. Like i had to prove it...GRRRR Sometimes he has a brain fart or something and forgets i cant do everything, but is trying to understand. Those early stages sneak back up on me now and then... but it will get better hugs from PA

I *think* I'd rather avoid MTX just cause I've heard you all talk about how you have to go off it if you're sick. I'm pretty sure with Arava you don't. But after hearing so many of you say " I love Enbrel " I'm leaning toward that On the other hand, it'll mostly depend on what the rh says in a couple weeks. Thqanks for >>> the input-keep smiling Peg Yeah, we LIKE being in pain, having our bodies deteriorate on a daily basis, etc Some of it is denial re my relatives, but some of it is just plain mean spirited. Like my MIL, who refuses to recognize that I'm sick or ever bring it up. We figure that she thinks I'm a hypochondric whiner looking for attention. Oh, and I'm probably a gold digger even tho my husband doesn't make all that much money. Of course, she never liked me to begin with and this is just the proof she needs that I'm bad for her son. I can't help it, it hurts a lot, even though I'm trying to detach. But I'm still in the early stages; anger, grief, hurt, depression, etc. I'm *really* hoping that gets better... Good luck with your relatives Thx,
Guest guest
Hi : Just make sure to get your blood work done every 8 weeks on Arava to check for elevation of liver enzymes - very important - I also get blood work on a regular basis for Mtx and Enbrel use. I've been on Mtx now for about 4 years, but without really good result until the Enbrel was added. Guest guest
Hi Kathe, How long did you wait before deciding that the Mtx alone wasn't enough? I know I'm not there yet... I'm not even up to the full dose yet. But I'm WAY away from where I'd like to be. > > > > Hi ,It seems as though your options are > > heading towards TNF,but > > > to be honest i would definately try MTX first > > before TNF.I had 6 or > > > 7 years of near to normal life,i even returned to > > work.I know its > > > never the same for two people, but its worth a > > try.Good Luck > > > ,from > > > > Thx > > > > From looking online it looks like the TNF blockers > > are the > > Enbrel, Humira, Remicade, etc? > > > > I *think* I'd rather avoid MTX just cause I've heard > > you all > > talk about how you have to go off it if you're sick. > > I'm pretty > > sure with Arava you don't. > > > > But after hearing so many of you say " I love Enbrel " > > I'm leaning > > toward that > > > > On the other hand, it'll mostly depend on what the > > rh says in a > > couple weeks. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Kathe > > " To ride a horse is to borrow freedom.
