Guest guest
Hey, let people whatever they want. If having a horse is your thing, ignore all comments. I didn't knw a horse had to be clipped. Take care. Randall <krandall@...> wrote: Well, we officially bought the new horse yesterday! He's a a cute, chunky Appaloosa. He's only about 15.2, but very big bodied and sturdy legs, so he's up to taking my husband on occasional trail rides. Some people may think I'm crazy doing this at this point, but it's such a morale boost. I came home from looking at him and swept out the barn. I still hurt all over, but I'm in a much better mood! I will have to get him clipped though... He looks like a wooly bear catepillar, and is shedding GOBS of hair. Guess it's off to the tack shop today to get him some clothes! Guest guest
Before RA, I could swap an engine in one of my cars in a day. Later, after being beat down by the disease, it took me 6 months to replace the one in my daughter's truck, but I got it done. Now I have about 15 old cars that I'm piddling on, one race car and others that may meet the same fate if I can hold up, and this week will tear my big motorcycle apart to fix a few problems with it. I used to do this as a hobby since my day job was inside at a workbench or desk. I definitely understand the horse thing, it gives one a reason to get up the next day. Maybe our site motto should be: " Never Give Up! " . I won't... Dennis [ ] New Horse (Kathe) > Well, we officially bought the new horse yesterday! He's a a cute, > chunky Appaloosa. Guest guest
They don't HAVE to be clipped... this omne has been living out all winter, so he's pretty furry. My show horse lives at an indoor ring for the winter, and he always gets completely clipped, because it's easier to keep them groomed without the masses of hair. The main reason I want the new guy clipped, though, is because I have asthma. Breathing in all that hair is a killer!<g> karen > Well, we officially bought the new horse yesterday!
