Guest guest
(((Larry))), Just a quick note to tell you I love the msg you wrote to and ditto for me too and hang in there! A few things you said, grocery shopping without help, what an accomplishment, not there yet but you just gave me hope I could be, and choosing not to get depressed and about the 24-7-365. It is so true about " choosing " to not get depressed because that is the one thing we can control, be it through medications, counseling, prayer/meditation, we can control our emotions and how we respond to situations and circumstances. I too am in pain 24-7/365 yr. It has been that way for 10+ years now. The first year I didn't realize what was wrong and it wasn't everyday like it is now. Besides the pain, we still have all of the ups and downs life throws your way just like the healthy people have. So we have the regular life stuff (good or bad) THEN we have the RA/OA/Lupus/FM, etc. stuff as well. That's a lot to carry on our shoulders but we still manage to do that. Maybe that is our mission. Maybe others will gain hope or find direction by our example watching us survive life and an illness too!! I think the will to live is just that strong. The will to survive is very evident in you and all you have been through (I didn't realize you had been through so much). Making this life count because as far as we know this is the only one we have and I for one would hate to get to heaven and say, shoulda, woulda, coulda. I want to get to heaven and be proud of what I did with my time here in the physical. At least that's what works for me. So when i feel myself approaching depression and it lasts for more than a day or so, I start doing the necessary things to snap out of it. Whatever it takes to return to myself again in spite of all the pain I live with on a daily basis. God bless you and yours and the little bichons too! peace and healing, Ebony
