Guest guest
Hi all, Went for my Remicade today. Took my partner with me to help me talk to my rheumy, who we both like alot. On top of the RA, OA, spinal stenosis, asthma, diabetes (thanks to prednisone), I now have an official dx of Fibromyalgia. I explained to him, I don't WANT another dx, but I need to know what is going on with me. Don't remember if I posted here or not, but I am having a knee replacement on 11/27. There is no cartliage left, and the bones above and below are necrotic (again, years of prednisone use). When the rheumy told me to 'get as much rest as possible'. I laughed. My partner had to have her ACL reconstructed, and has been in a brace and on crutches for almost 3 wks. We have 2 special needs kids, one who needs constant supervision. She has been unable to help much, but is improving and doing more every day. Which is good, b/c end of the month we switch roles, and I'll be post op and she'll be doing everything.
