Guest guest
Holly: Sweetie, you're not a failure - don't ever think of yourself in such ways. You have a disease, a ruthless and almost unstoppable foe, and fighting it takes all of your strength. I truly do empathize with what you are going through, and can only imagine what it would have been like if my children had been as young as yours when I was first dx. Those first few months, the first year actually, was the hardest, as I was trying to mentally come to grips with such fatigue and pain as I had never experienced before. We all understand, Holly, and truly feel your pain. I don't see why your doctor has not given you something for sleep. I take Trazodone too, but I take 2 pills 3x a day with a muscle relaxant (I have FM too), and it does not make me sleepy in the least. I am on Ambien CR and Zanaflex (also muscle relaxant at night) and finally for the first time in years am getting sleep. I think the plain Ambien would be worth a shot for you, although it really puts me out, and to have a young child need you during the night, I don't know how easy it would be to wake up readily for that. I have also taken Amitriptyline and Elavil for sleep, but neither reached the success I have had with Ambien. I wish I could help you out more, but my words and cyber hugs are all I can offer you, my friend. Blessings to you, and hang in there, we are here for you - Kathe in CA --- Holly <hollybgroovin2003@...> wrote: > I know everyone has been through this before with > depression and pain > and dealing with this and all, but I am having such > a hard time.I'm in > so much pain I feel like I'm going crazy. Guest guest
Holly: I hit send, and then thought, oh you idiot! I take TRAMADOL three times a day, not TRAZODONE! Dang this Fibro Fog! My brain is a sieve - literally loosing information as I breathe lol. Anyway, yes, I have also tried Trazodone for sleep, and it did help, but nothing like the Ambien. Sorry for the mistaken transposing of medications................. ye gods.
