Guest guest
, Totally agree with you about the SSI/SSD. Unfortunately, I came to same conclusions with my experience. I saw one of their (SSD) doctors. I still have the denial letter. The judge even admitted it was severe RA in his denial letter back then in 98/99. So simply having the disease severely wasn't enough to qualify me either or the fact I had paid into the ssi system for 17 years. I started working when I was 16 all the way up to the disease turning severe and even short periods on and off after the disease was severe. With the denial letter, I decided I would find a way for myself regardless of my pain level. Thanks for all of the information and the tips. I'll keep those things in mind if I should apply again. Guest guest
One thing that hasn't mentioned is a calendar. Start logging every day with the true abilities and pain levels, etc. When I started mine back in 1991, I even went to the trouble of color-coding each day so anyone could glance at the calendar from anywhere nearby and see what was going on for the entire month. I think it had an impact on the decision of the Judge. That can show the long-term effect of your 'challenges'.
