WOW.........you couldn't have said it better! I wish

you could e-mail my kids and explain it to them like

that...then maybe they would get it better! I am only

54, diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago....but really had all

the symptoms for at least 10 years before (really

probbly longer). But, being single and having to

upport myelf, not working just wasn't a option. I

tried working different shifts when I couldn't get out

of bed in the morning,I had to work evenings. When

12hour hifts became the usual in hsopitals...I had to

go to nursing homes where 8 hours are the usual. I

could not be on my feet for 8 hours let alone 12.I was

wok=rking 12hour day shifts in the hospintal and had

to work every other day..because I couldn't get out of

bed the next eday after a 12 hour shift...I could

never work two or three days in a row. I tried agency

cynthia, I was typing and lost it..I hope it mailed

like it said it did typos and all... So...Dr.s and

Friends both told me to get real...you just can't do

this (work)anymore! And they were so right. I can't

even type anymore without going back over it 2-3 times

to find all the errors...whether its my hands or eyes

or brain fade...I just can't type. And some days my

writing is just as bas! I can't imagine how I would

screws up Dr.s orders and charting!! And like you I

spent years doing art work and quilting, knitting

etc...all which are not easy on your hands! My meds

aren't working, I have too many side effects. My

rhummey is likely to change them all when I see him in

2 weeks. And like I said before...my kids just don't

seem to understand that this is a degenerative disease

and it is not going away tomorrow or the next day. It

is here and I have to deal with it. I just wanted to

say that you really said it all!! IT sure fits! why

cant people understand that if we could work we

would? Do they think that SSDI is going to make us

rich?? that is a big laugh! if you are single and that

is your only income.you are below poverty level! I

wish I could work! Jenna
