Guest guest
Greetings Stella and All the Group, My name is pam and I decided to join this group for probably the same reason as everyone else - living with pain every day. I live in the Daytona Beach area of Florida and it is already too hot. I can not wait for the day we can move north. The air will be cleaner and I welcome the stress-free countryside. It is much better then the road rage which exists here!! : ) Stella, at the same time I am going through pretty much the same thing as you are and trying to find answers. It is almost more unbearable then living with a disease condition. I was tested high positive RA Factor and ANA. My doctor has not decided what I have as yet but tentatively labels it MCTD (mixed connective tissue disease). This opens me up to having most any of the auto-immune diseases, if not some of everything. The doctor seems to think Lupus Syndrome and RA at this time but I have heard he has written on my record FM and Spondylitis. For the past 6 weeks, off and on, I have been dealing with pain in the left arm and hand of which there appears to be a lack of circulation so am not sure exactly what is going on there. My fingernails have turned purple and look like they are about to explode. The nurse told me to call this week and she will try and get me in to see the doctor - he is double and triple booked! I have many other problems like the classic malar rash and have to wear sunblock, hat and sunglasses when i go outside. It is much easier staying inside. I also have asthma, hypertension, OA of the spine, GERD, chronic sinusitis, essential tremors, major depression and who knows what else is lerking behind the flesh. Am sure you will experience some relief when the doctor figures out what is wrong with you. I almost wanted to jump for joy because i was tired of fighting with doctors that this pain was not " all in my head. " I wish you best. Read... read... read! I do have many symptoms of Fibro and CFS but as I understand it they would not >make this test come out positive so they are doing further tests for lupus and the such. >Stella/IL >Chronic Pain ~HUGS~
