Guest guest
Hi Robin: Welcome to the group - you will find us to be a very friendly and supportive bunch. When you see your rheumy, ask him to test you also for fibromyalgia, which muscle and nerve pain throughout the body. He will test for trigger points in your body which will help to dx fibro. It is not uncommon for patients with RA to also have fibro, I do, as many of us in the group also. Hopefully you do not have it, and it is only the RA, but have him check it out. Maybe hot showers or baths could help? Icy hot cream is also good for muscle pain. Take care and let us know what the rheumy says. Guest guest
Did you say Ice Cream????? Oh no that was Icy hot cream. Darn, I'd love for someone to say Ice cream helps. I think I will tell my husband that this group told me that chocolate ice cream helps RA. You all will back me up on this won't you? Thank you Kathe for the advice. this waiting to go to the dr. is driving me crazy. The one Rheumy here in town couldn't get me in until after January. I've been waiting for over a month for this appointment. I'll try the Hot showers and Ice Cream . . . . . .oh I mean icy hot cream thanks Robin Re: [ ] new here Robin Hi Robin: Welcome to the group - you will find us to be a very friendly and supportive bunch. Guest guest
Robin: As a matter of fact, I HAVE found that chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream can put me into a state of euphoria in which my pain retreats into the background. Now this only lasts as long as you are eating the ice cream, but it actually seems to work better than my pain meds! I would say that ice cream of any kind is sure to help with whatever RA or fibro pain you are dealing with. I definately endorse ice cream of your own choice for relief of pain!
