Guest guest
Ok, I knew this was going to happen. I have been in pain all week. I finally realized why it was so bad this week besides the changes in weather. I forgot my Humira. I am now a week late on it. What do you do when this happens? Do you take it when you remember and stay on schedule with the next shot? Meaning you would take two shots in less than a week. Or do you skip this shot completely and take the next one as scheduled? Or do you take the shot and wait the two weeks to take the next one, thereby changing the schedule? I am really bad at remembering to take stuff that is sooo far spaced out. Don't bother to suggest a calander. Cause I have them everyone and a planner and I still forget because I loose the planner..or have nothing else on my schedule so I don't look at it for a week or two. I still haven't started back on the plaquinil. I keep forgetting and now I can't find the bottle of meds. I had a rheummy appnt last week but I cancelled it because I did not have the money to go. I will reschedule it for next month when I get my check. I need to ask my rheummy does he even want me to continue on plaquinil...I don;t have the resources for eye exams every six months!!!! I also need to find out about getting some comfortable wrist splints or some sor to glove to keep my wrists down to my fingers warm. They are very painful and sore. I am having trouble typing and for most of last week I could not write. Toni

I agree with , just change your schedule. Dont think you are alone in forgetting to take your meds. I do it too! There was one point where i just plain forgot to take my Mtx for like a month... OOPS. I believe Humira has a reminder call service that will call you a day before to remind you...check in to it. I found a great knee brace at walmart. Check there, they may have the wrist splints/gloves you are looking for. hugs
Guest guest
Hi Toni; Sorry to read that things are pretty bad for you right now. About your Humera shots, take it now and change your schedule. Let's say, if you were taking the shot every Monday and on Friday you realize you didn't, take it on Friday and let that be your new schedule: every other Friday. As for forgetting stuff, you are not alone. I always say that if my head weren't attached to the rest of my body, I would forget I had one What I do is use the email calendar, that way I get reminders when I need them. Since I check my email regularly, I stay pretty much on top of things and never miss a birthday, Dr.'s appointment, or anything else I have to do. ...... and ..........I don't lose the darn thing Take care.
