Guest guest Posted February 12, 2006 Report Share Posted February 12, 2006 ok-don't remember if i wrote and let you all know what's going on....in early jan, due to my severe RA, had my left ulnar bone at the wrist dislocate.the long and short of it is that i need surgery-where the left ulnar head is removed abd the ligaments and tendons are strenghened and sutured into the bone. i may not be able to EVER return to my profession as a materenity nurse, ever again, as the wrist my not be strong enough to support lifting patients. disability at 38 yrs old! i have severe pain in the wrist, hand, and forearm. cannot make a fist or move the arm. have done nothing but cry all day everyday for 5 wks!!!! i have gained so much weight!...not eating or exercising-just crying.......may think about having a banding at some point, on top of the gbs, which was done in2003. husband is not too supportive-has his own issues-mainly bipo;ar, and bekieve me that is one big Jerry Springer episode! surgery is the 24th of this month.....sherri Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
