Guest guest
Dear one and all, I've been hunting for the past couple of years for an osteopath who specializes either in family practice or internal medicine. Well, my search has ended! I found one! His credentials are solid... he is a Diplomat in Family Medicine. He is an adjunct clinical professor of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York Osteopathic medical school where he graduated. His manner was gentle but someone whom I could really talk to without being patronized or my feelings/points rejected. He was very thorough, and spent about 1/2 hour with me giving me the once over from head to toes! I know I'm heavyset and do want to lose, but he didn't use that as an excuse for my medical problems. (the way a lot of doctors do). He also ran the usual tests, and found out that my heart rate was fast. I had been complaining to the ex-internist that I thought I had high blood pressure and was told it was " high-normal. " This doctor agreed with me that it was high. The medication that was prescribed will take care of both the irregular heart rate AND lower the blood pressure. (Tenormin) I have to see him in two weeks. I think it's fate that I went to this doctor as he is only two and half blocks from my home and I can walk it! Take care all, Joan
