Dear one and all,

I've been hunting for the past couple of years for an osteopath who

specializes either in family practice or internal medicine. Well, my search

has ended! I found one! His credentials are solid... he is a Diplomat in

Family Medicine. He is an adjunct clinical professor of Osteopathic Medicine

at the New York Osteopathic medical school where he graduated.

His manner was gentle but someone whom I could really talk to without

being patronized or my feelings/points rejected. He was very thorough, and

spent about 1/2 hour with me giving me the once over from head to toes!

I know I'm heavyset and do want to lose, but he didn't use that as an

excuse for my medical problems. (the way a lot of doctors do). He also ran

the usual tests, and found out that my heart rate was fast. I had been

complaining to the ex-internist that I thought I had high blood pressure and

was told it was " high-normal. " This doctor agreed with me that it was high.

The medication that was prescribed will take care of both the irregular heart

rate AND lower the blood pressure. (Tenormin) I have to see him in two

weeks.

I think it's fate that I went to this doctor as he is only two and half

blocks from my home and I can walk it!

Take care all,

Joan
