Guest guest
Hi , I myself am a Newbie, but so far I've found the group helpful. Let me start with a little bit of my RA history. My story isn't near as sad as yours, and I don't mean to complain. But I thought you might be curious what brought me to this sight. I was 18 when diagnosed with RA, needless to say it was a shock. I am from a small town in Minnesota, and the small town M.D. that did the blood tests made it sound like I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 25. First thing I did was go see a Rheumatologist. He painted a much brighter picture. Fast forward to present day. I'm 33 and have had a hip replaced, a shoulder replaced and am currently taking steriods for two hurniated disks in my back. All I can say is use all your resources, never give up until you find a surgion that will take a chance to help you get back up and on your feet again. Good luck , and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you ever want to e-mail me, my address is dbcooper_1971@... <mailto:dbcooper_1971@...> sometimes it helps to chat with someone you can relate to.
