Question about 'moon face' was Re: Do whatever works for you prednisone or not.

If you get that lovely weight gain in your face as a side effect of

the prednisone. How long does it take to go away? My Rheumy put me

up to 20 mg in July and I am now weaning my self off, down to 10 mg

since the first of October. Friends how haven't seen me since I

went to 20 mg of Pred. do not recognize me. I know this is mostly a

cosmetic side effect, but it is one that hits me in the face when

I look in the mirrow. lol I am also getting the high sugars,

increased swelling in feet and hands and major pain in my joints. I

would like to thank everyone who has responded to these questions

about prednisone use, it could not have come at a better time for

me. At least I know now that some of this pain is from coming down

off the prednisone and now just a RA flare.

BTW, Ebony, it takes me less than a month to get the moon face, so

you do have some company.
