I don't think I'm getting daily digests.

I've been a member for 3 years and the only digest (what I signed up

for) I have gotten came today with 3 posts, after 3 days. I've gone

to the RA web site and see there are many more. I've checked my

member statas and I am signed up for the digest. Wondered what has

happened.

As far as steriods go, I disagree with the person who felt anyone

taking steriods just needed to follow their normal diet to avoid

gainning weight. There is a lot more going on if you are on

steriods. Not just increasing your thirst and appitate. That

increase was not why you were put on the steriods, that is a side

effect. I don't like it when people assume that because anyone is on

steriods, they are weak, therefore eat to much and gain weight.

Everytime I have had to go on any type of steriods, I was in

distress. Either with pain, a respirtory problem or very sick with

imflamation caused by my RA or Colitis. It wasn't only my appitite

that increased, I was also very limited in what I could do and my

need for sleep increased. Sleeping more and not being physically

active, as well as an increase in appitite certainly will cause

weight gain. It is complex and I don't think it is fair to blame the

recepient because " they need to follow their normal diet "
