Guest guest
Sierra, The next time you have lab done ask the tech to mail you a copy of the results at your home address. I have my lab checked at the local hospital and I always do this as does my husband. (They usually have me sign a release of information first.) Then I have copies of my own lab and I will know if it is abnormal. Kathy In a message dated 4/6/2006 7:53:46 A.M. I just discovered that my lab had failed to send February results to my rheumy--results that were, for the first time, abnormal. I happened to find this out on Monday after calling to report unusual side effects I experienced after taking MTX last weekend. The thought that I have taken five doses of MTX with high liver enzymes gives me the creeps; I could have been seriously harmed because of the lab error. The lab is at my workplace, so I feel inhibited about complaining. (A sign I should go elsewhere for labwork.) I was told to expect a call from the rheumy, but it's Wed. night and I haven't received one. I feel neglected! I will call back tomorrow. I just have to say this to someone (you): I'm frustrated! It makes me feel very uneasy to have fallen through the cracks. The nurse told me not to take my MTX again until I've talked to the doctor (duh!). I feel a huge aversion to it at the moment. I had some unusual symptoms after taking it last weekend and now have a strong sense that I should not put more of it into my body at this time. Please send some positive thoughts my direction!
