Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Does anyone out there have vitiligo associated with their R.A.??? I have it on the right side of my body. My RA. Dr. said it can accompany R.A. along with other autoimmune diseases. I have not gone to see a dermatologist because I worked for a derm. for 17 years and to my knowledge there is no known cure. I use self tanner on the spots to help it look less prominant. I'm just curious to see if I'm terminally unique!!! Are we having fun yet?? Blessings to one and all! Guest guest
Lori, It runs with Hashimoto's Disease (autoimmune hypothyroid). I have it and my two sisters do too. Unless you get large patches there isn't much to do or " worry " about. My spot are all small and only really show in the summer. I would get you B12 tested. Although there haven't been big studies there are some that say it's linked with low B12. Yes my B12 was low. They though I might have Pernicious Anemia, but now they don't think so. I raised my B12 with sublingual B12. Your B12 needs to be above 500. Guest guest
Lori, I have Vitiligo on the left side of my body, mainly on my chest and the side of my face.. I don't use any tanner or anything, though I am self concious about it, I just answer questions when they arrive... Sorry to hear you suffer too Hugs Heidi ______________________________________________ -- [ ] vitiligo associated with R.A. Hi Everyone!
