Guest guest
The RA community sounds really nice Ebony, where we could ask each other...and know that the other would understand. I have thought about it. Being single makes you think about what happens when you get worse. I keep thinking of a small farmhouse (not the farm!) in the country where there could be a small garden...and lots of space to be outside under the trees to relax in the hammock and have " group " everyday where everyone could vent..(can't you see all the hammocks in a circle and a table of lemonaid in the middle??).It would have to have a lot of bedrooms though! But I have found that women friends take better care of each other than anyone else....and that would be a perfect little community for those that are single.....and we could drive into town and help out you married folk with spouses who just don't get it. MAybe I'll win the lotto... that would help!! Living on SSDI when you are single isn't easy either....so community living would help that too!! Like we could pool our food stamps and splurge on a chicken once a month!!! (ya gotta have a sense of humor to get throught this!!)...........jenna __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Dawn, I really feel bad for you. You stood up to her and told her.......and she didn't even hear you! I am so sorry! Someone suggested earlier that you just not be home when she comes. While that would probably be difficult as it would involve getting up very early in the am (and we all know how hard that is)..maybe at this point it would have to be something as dramatic as that for her to realize that you mean business! I can't remember...is this your mothers sister?? Can't your mother have a heart to heart with her (or another family member..father,sister, husband, your other Aunt, SOMEBODY) and tell her the gravy train is over ($1.50 an hour..that is unheard of!!)and to take her monkeys and git!!! It's your health Dawn, and the time spent with your son is special. You can't be there for him when you are being worn down every day! You need to be very selfish and think of YOU...your Aunt sure isn't thinking of you!! Where do you live ...we will all come over and stand on the porch and chase her off with brooms!!!! I hope this resolves for you soon. It will you know one way or another...sometimes you just can't keep pushing yourself day after day...and this is worse than any job!!! Just mentally this whole situatiion is exhausing...let alone chasing monkeys all day! DO it for yourself!! And for your son! jenna __________________________________________________
