Guest guest
I have a really good story to tell about my rheumatologist. History first, her office is so busy all appointments are at least 6 weeks out. She does not take emergency calls after hours and does not call in prescriptions or refills. She will not take a patient without insurance. My last appointment was a " phone " appointment at 6:00 at night. Her office is fully equipped with a networked computer in each room where she puts info in as she is seeing you. Part of the reason that her medical practice is so busy is because she also holds clinical trials for some of the drug producers and these patients take up most of her day. So, I have received two letters in the mail this week from her, inviting me to a luncheon she is holding for herself, in her honor, to raise money to operate her practice! If you aren't able to pay $50 a plate to attend her luncheon she says that any monetary donation is fine, just mail it in! I cannot believe it! I was beginning to have my doubts as to whether or not she was paying attention and now I know that she is to something, just not me! Is this even legal? She has to be making a fortune with the number of patients she sees, and she's in the practice alone. Needless to say, I am seeking another doctor. Anyone know of a good one in central Alabama between B'ham and City?
