Hi Lynn,

This is Dave.

I hope everyone of my fellow stilligans are having somewhat of a PAIN FREE

day I hope!!! I applied for SSI and Disability last year and I was approved very

quickly like 6 months and I had absolutly no problems at all. I recieve a

check every month and I was put on MEDICAID. I get all my MEDICATIONS free

through Medicaid. I never had to hire an Attorney at all. I was extremely lucky

That

I won. I was granted SSI.

I wish you good luck with your appeal and your Attorney. I had to fill out

all these forms and all my Doctors had to dictate to them and sign that I needed

disability because of my Severe Chronic condition. I hope you will be granted

some type. Good luck. If you have any questions at all just E-mail me anytime

It's my pleasure to help out a fellow stilligan. my Address is:

wave678@...

Take care and try to be PAIN FREE!!! I also Wish everyone a PAIN FREE nite.

Sincerely Dave In South Fla,

p.s. " ONE DAY WE WILL SLAUGHTER THE DRAGON " , You are also in my thoughts and

prayers.

Kathy,

Hi It's Dave. You and your Doctor have to fill out a lot of paper work and

let your doc. know that he/she needs to fill out all these different forms. It

takes many months if your granted. I also have other diseases plus stills. I

have mixed connective tissue Disease. and Asthma also. But, I have Stills to the

EXTREME. I'm in constant excruciating pain Morning, noon, night, I'm also on

so many different medications. Including PAIN MEDS. too. That also helps. But

mostly Social Security SSI need to find you disabled with stills or something

else. you need to tell your doctors everytime you see any of them that your in

pain , can't walk cann't sleep eat, etc. You'll have better chances of

getting SSI If your doc's dictate on their forms. Good luck friend. Take care

-----D

Me too, Lori. I am concerned as how to look and act when I get a meeting. I

look normal, walk and talk normal, and dress myself and do most everything

that they questioned. I think that is why I was denied the first time.

I'm going to try it again without a lawyer and see what happens. If I am

denied again, then I'll contact a SS lawyer. I wonder how many times you can

appeal? Anybody know?

xxoo,

Mi. Carmen

Hi Everyone,

I just read with great interest the newest set of postings on

disability. They were a big help, but I have a question. Here in

Colorado at least the TV is filled with ads for disability lawyers.

Seeing all the follow-up and paperwork and phone calling you all have

had to go through ... has anyone used one of these lawyers and if so,

was it worth it? Or are they just trying to take advantage?
