Guest guest
Hi Sandie, I am slow in responding. I still have quite a few messages to read through, but I really just want to respond to say ditto for me too that I agree with everyone else's response to you. However, I also wanted to just add another voice to let you know you are not alone and we have all had those feelings of inadequacies at one time or another while dealing with RA flares. The flares can be so dibilitating (sp?) I have had flares to last for 6 weeks at a time where I have been in the bed most of the time. Even so, it sounds as if you have a great support system and I am happy for that because I feel that will help you fight this in the long run. I pray the meds work for you and give you a break from the pain. Also, I think the kids will be happy to help out. I think when it is forced upon them they may resent it but the 9 year old may want to help out and not resent it at all. When I was that age I would insist on doing the dishes. It looked like fun. I am sorry about the sis. I am the oldest of 8. And you don't get to be that without having at least one sibling who needs the be the center of attention. I sometimes ask the same question when I find myself convincing nonbelievers I am in pain because some can't understand how you were walking around fine one minute then in a flare 2 hours later. It's confusing to them, but why on earth would someone fake such an excruciating crippling pain? It feels like we are in our personal torture chamber. Who would do that to him/herself??? So even if she is faking right now, the truth will come out eventually and they will soon see for themselves. You can't fake RA. Hope you feel better soon. love/peace, Ebony
