Guest guest
Hi all, I read all the posts,, but don't post much. I too am doing the Arthritis Walk on May 7 in Tulsa, OK. I missed last year, too much pain, but the year before had a team from the library where I worked and we raised over $1,000 dollars. So far, I've raised over $200 on my own. Bicycles....just today I asked my PT if I could ride a bike again (I had arthroscopy on left knee in Feb w/ chondroplasty). I'm cleared for bike riding----as long as I don't fall off!! Plaquenil....I go for the eye exams every 6 mos, and each time complain that its a waste of time because my eyes are always fine. My opthamologist has had to take 6 patients off Plaquenil because of eye problems. Plus, I had cataracts in both eyes repaired (long term, hi dose Prednisone), and am diabetic (pred again), so in the long run I probably SHOULD be going every 6 month. Golf...I also asked the PT about playing golf.....he won't clear me for it until I talk to the surgeon because of the chondroplasty. The time the stress is on my knees is during driving, and I'm not very good, but I still don't want to screw anything up! I just want to get to the driving range and whack a bucket of balls I got my 12 yr old son interested in golf---I think he likes driving the cart best----and I take him, but I want to be able to play again. Hope all are well. T --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills? Enjoy PC-to-Phone calls to 30+ countries for just 2¢/min with Messenger with Voice.
