In the " richest nation on earth " , Texas is rated as one of the largest and

most populous in the nation. I already have my Medicare but my wife has

nothing. Our income is only my SSD check and it's below the federal poverty

level. So, it would follow that I could get both of us in the Medicaid or

'Welfare' system, but since my wife has no income, we don't qualify because

I make too much for a single supporter and she has no income, so she's also

not counted.

Texas " ranks 49th for overall spending on the estimated 600,000 people with

disabilities " and has " decreased spending on community based services by 2% "

in the last 2 years. The Federal government doesn't know why Texas isn't

spending this money when we have a surplus in the fund and the federal

matching funds are not being used! How in the world can we be in such a mess

and none to do anything to fix it?
