Guest guest
Hi ': Welcome to the group. There are a lot of very supportive and caring people here, and our moderators, and a, really keep us informed as to all sorts of very interesting RA and autoimmune related articles, etc. It's been a wonderful resource for me, and just being able to speak with people who really understand what you are going through has proven invaluable. I am glad that you have gotten over the anger phase - to tell the truth I still get angry at all of this stuff from time to time lol - and that you are concentrating on doing what you can to control your RA. We all have our bad days, good days, and sometimes really bad days, so we know what you are talking about when you want to stay in bed under the covers. There are many days I feel the same. Are you on any other medications than Remicade? You must have a very aggressive form of RA if you have gone so quickly to Remicade. Mine is of a more moderate disease, so I guess I am one of the lucky ones in that way. I currently am on Enbrel, Mtx, Mobic and Ultracet. I was dx 8 years ago at the age of 45 - quite the shock -and have tried other meds during that time, but this combo seems to be doing well with me, in that my disease appears to be under good control and not progressing at this time. Some days it sure feels like it is progressing, though! I also have Raynaud's, Fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. Anyway, just wanted to say welcome, and nice to have you here, but sorry for the reason you joined us. Guest guest
Hi Kathe, yes, I have a very aggresive form of RA-it destroyed the joints in my right wrist in a few weeks time-this past Friday I went in for my Remicade infusion and had a nasty reaction-they think I may be becoming allergic to it...they said they would try it one more time in 8 weeks and go from there.
