Guest guest
Hello RA family. I have been coming here often lately. I think have a bad case of cabin fever, so very glad you all are here and I have a place where I can go. Of course, I wish under less painful circumstances. I love reading your stories, some funny, some sad, some happy news and new arrivals to the family, and some a little of everything in between. I know we are all having money problems and pain problems among many other things, but I would sure love it for us to coordinate a group trip together, maybe to myrtle beach or something. As most of you know, I am in west georgia so it would take me a while to get there -- just wishful thinking I guess. I can't do anything about the needed medical tests or procedures but wait, so in the meantime I sure would like to find some painless activities. I have been looking for a place to volunteer. I checked the red cross and no match there according to their web site. I have to be realistic about what I can do and so far no match. Anyone volunteering at the moment? There is a place here called Feed the Hungry or something like that, so will check that out. I could probably volunteer at the hospital on my good days, check in on the patients. My feet were always cracked and dry as an outpatient, maybe I would lotion a few feet. I think I'll look into that in the meantime. Anybody play bingo? I know a lot of people are against bingo and casinos, but I think it's harmless as long as it isn't a bad habit and only once in a blue moon. I would love to find a group that meets for bingo or some activity so that I can escape the pain mentally anyway. Just wondering where you guys are with activities at the moment. What have you been up to in that area of your life. I thought of getting a puppy from the shelter but afraid I won't be consistent enough to walk it or care for it the way it needs it. Been there, done that. I don't know what my dog would say about me leaving it in the kennel so much. Well, let me hear about some of the things you do to escape the pain mentally. What about pottery classes? Would we be able to do something like that? Let me know what you think about a group trip. Take care all.
