Guest guest
I think that's me your referring to and you misunderstood. I was not clear, it's my fault. My point is this: If a doctor implants and something goes wrong and he explants, a mastopexy at no charge should be a part of the package. If you go to another doctor altogether (to get explanted) then yes, if he/she charges extra for a mastopexy that it's understandable. I was just repulsed that some implanting surgeons will not explant/mastopexy with no fee (other than OR and anesthesia fee). I think implanting surgeons OWE this to their patient and if they don't deliver, morally, it makes them a bad doctor. Pearl

Guest guest
Actually, I am not sure I agree that the woman who has explantation without mastopexy should have to pay the same fees as the woman who has both. There is a great deal more work in performing a good mastopexy than just and explantation. A proper explantation is a very time consuming surgery and much more complicated than most people realize, especially if the implants are under the muscle and ruptured. Some women do not need the mastopexy and we have a couple on explantation.com who had beautiful explantations without the need of a lift. As in any service, Doctors should be paid according to their labor, in my opinion. When I made webpages, I charged a higher amount for a page that took longer to make. My sister in law came when I had my explantation/mastopexy and she was just shocked with Dr. Feng's facilities. She is a highly specialized nurse and said she could not believe how reasonable Dr. Feng was, considering she had a fully equipped operating room and professional staff. The cost of having these things is phenomenol. I have had horrible Drs. and nearly been killed by malpractice once. I have also had wonderful Drs. who have saved my life. There are differences, to be sure, and we cannot be too careful. Dr. Feng is one of the best and I will forever be grateful to her and her staff. Guest guest
OH ok, YES, I AGREE with you wholeheartedly. In fact, I think that a good ps should actually remove the implants and do mastopexy at no charge when a patient has trouble and is not satisfied. If, they are as safe as they claim, and this is so darn rare, then it would just be good business. Even Walmart takes back my defective products and tries harder to please me than most plastic surgeons. I am so angry when I hear those girls who have something go wrong, and have to put a new implant and have to pay for it! We have a couple girls on explantation.com who had surgeons who removed their implants and fixed them at no cost. I was very impressed. I appreciate that you clarified that for me. THANKS! > I think that's me your referring to and you misunderstood. I was not clear, > it's my fault.
