Guest guest
Hi a: Sorry that you have the positive proof you wanted and that it was RA for sure, but since you know the name of the monster it is easier to fight it. Read all you can, and learn everything about it and the meds needed to fight it, knowledge is power, and you will be better able to decide what is the best course of action for yourself with it. I have the same problems with the cold - I am always bundled up, even when my family sits around in tshirts and jeans. I have a blanket out on our couch, and I am constantly bundled up in it to watch tv or read. I have even had to wear gloves in the house my hands get so cold. I have been on Enbrel now for about four months, and it is really helping me. My RA is at a point where it is stable, not getting any worse at least, and for that I am happy. I still have pain, but the disease process itself seems to be in control. I also take Mtx with the Enbrel. Don't worry about giving yourself the shot - that kind of freaked me out at first but I have become quite good at it actually. The only side effect I have had is maybe a little bruise sometimes, and more fatigue the day after the shot. Give it a couple of months to kick in. I hope that it works as well for you as it has for me. I would never be able to do any heavy work, don't know how you are still managing with RA to do that! Hang in there and let us know how you are doing - Kathe in CA --- a <aN829@...> wrote: > Hi everyone! > > Had my monthly Dr. Visit today. I took the 10th off work just in case I have problems. And as far as doing my job, I am soooooo lucky I have a great boss, he put me in an area where all I do is put a wiring harness and some grease line in the engine frame of a tractor. It's the easiest job on the line. Some days are tough, but I have great co-workers who if they see me struggling, they come and help me. I won't quit working until I can't walk which I hope never happens!! My work has also supplied me with a medical parking pass so I don't have to walk a half mile into my building, some mornings are tough lol...i'm hanin in ther and i'll let ya know how thursday goes...i'm already nervous lol Peace out everyone!! a
