Guest guest
Ray, You are right on with the Sed rate. I am also having problems with this value on my tests. There is a possibility that I may have Lupus. They just did a brain scan. I have been having Sed rate fluctuation for about 6 months now. They have examined me for every inflammatory disease that can be thought of. I had a bone scan that looked basically normal thank goodness. Although I am experiencing memory loss, confusion, dizziness (not normal dizziness, more like my brain is bobbing around in my head like a apple does in water, and then some one sets it spinning), inability to talk straight. Lupus is an inflammatory disease that causes inflammation where ever it wants when ever and does not stay in one place. It may be in my brain today, then start in my hands the next. I am hoping this is not what I have, but this is the 4th time they have suspected Lupus. Some times it does not show up right away the doctor said. Four blood tests, lets hope this one comes back negative again. Sorry to everyone who sent me emails a week or so ago about my condition and I did not answer. I have barely been able to do much. This is the longest I have been on the internet in 3 weeks. I am also behind in classes. I am not sure what to do. Things are really stressing me. I need someone to talk with, and have no one. Well that is enough I need to go, my head is really dizzy and I am getting nauseas. The rate is an indication of inflammation and increases in many diseases. Purpose ESR is increased in rheumatoid diseases, most infections, and in cancer . An advanced rate doesn't diagnose a specific disease, but it does indicate that an underlying disease may be present.
