Guest guest
Before I went on my trip, I called the Enbrel people and asked about keeping my Enbrel cold. They said it needed to be kept at 36-46 degrees. I bought a small thermometer and checked how cold my Frio wallet stayed. It did stay cold a long time, but stayed around 60 degrees. So I kept mine cold with ice packs in an insulated container. Some days we were riding on the bus the entire day, and the bus driver let me put my container in the place where he kept his lunch. It must have been somewhat insulated, because my ice would stay cold pretty much all day. Anyway, the Enbrel people sent me an insulated container to use for this, too late for that trip, but helpful for any future trips. And since then, they keep sending me things. They asked if I wanted a contraption to open the little vials, so they sent me that. Then I got another package with a video, other information, another vial opener, and a sharps container. So anybody starting Enbrel, call them, and they'll send you a video showing how to mix and inject the med, and all sorts of other stuff, too.
