Diabetic neuropathy question

,

There are several aspects to this. My hands and feet " look like " Raynauds.

While diabetic neuropathy can cause skin color changes I do not find anything

that appears the way mine does. Perhaps it could be diabetic neuropathy and

Raynauds. Early on when trying to address this problem an Orthopedist said it

was RSDS. I had never heard of this but when I checked the computer the

description fit perfectly. Rayndauds in my hands are often such that the oxygen

clip they put on your finger to measure oxygen just " does not work " . Why would

all their equipment be broken when on my finger but on other people's it works

good. Once they used 3 machines and then transferred me to another room. Those

didn't work either. In the pulmonary office it did measure some, was either 99%

or too low to measure within the same couple of minutes. That is the only time

I have caught it when it was changing so quickly and was in a place they had the

clips. Other times it is consistently 99%.

I have had many doctors tell me it is NOT diabetic related. Initially they all

said diabetic neuropathy but by the end of the apt. they changed and said it

isn't. I know that diabetic damage is not fully known and perhaps my A1Cs that

have always been under 6 could cause a problem.

Right now I am focusing on how it looks, what is seen at the time there is a

problem. I would like to have input from anyone with neuropathy as to weather

the problem is visual. Perhaps it can be seen with the eye but in all my

searches I have only found that sometimes it causes skin change color.

Additional question is how does p.n. reflect in the oxygen measuring area?

Re: [ ] leg pain

Why don't you think it's diabetic neuropathy, Betty? When will you get the

results from the tests?
