You might get lucky and sign on with a place willing to work with you and train you their way. I am always concerned about my stamina, ability to be reliable, stick to a schedule and sit for 4 and 5 hours because RA flares whenever it feels like it, especially for me around cycle time a week before and a week during... (Some say that is when they feel relief from the flares but that is the only time I really flare out of control which 2 weeks a month is definitely enough. The rest of the month I am about an 8 out 10 with 10 being the worst.) If you cannot sit you can't type the amount needed. At a good line rate with companies out of Oregon, you can make $18+/hr. producing 200 lines per hour is what they hope for when they hire you, and the healthy 20-somethings can do that and more. It's not computer programmer or engineer money but it is the little extra you were talking about. I feel just like you. I have to do something. We all need a purpose. I sure do. The ADs definitely make it sound easier than it truly is. That said, we are all different with this condition, your hands may work better than mine, so definitely research it. I wish you all the best. Let me know -- I'll help in any way I can. peace, Ebony
