I think there is a prescription med you can take that may kill that bugger. Guest guest
, Have you tried looking OTC for something? I have noticed at Walmart, they have a lot of foot products. Guest guest
There is a doctor who has an advice column in the paper here. He seem to swear by putting vicks vapor rub on foot fungus!!! Don't know myself or not if it works but his column say apply and rub in morning and night for a week and it should clear up foot and nail fungus. Guest guest
I had occasion to suffer from a toe fungus. When the humidity was high or I was perspiring a lot, it would swell and really hurt. Instead of creams or pills, I decided the easiest and quickest was was to remove the nail, then when it grows back out, it would be okay again. It worked for me. Dennis [ ] Ew! Toe fungus!! > Hi all, > > I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and, if so, how you > treated it: I've developed a nasty fungus on both of my big toes. Guest guest
Hi I used Listerine mouth wash on my toes nails. It worked great! Best wishes Jill
Guest guest
Dennis--You removed the whole nail?! OUCH!!! How did you do it? How did you protect the nail bed until the nail grew back? __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yeah, the whole nail. I kept it bandaged for about a week and that was about it. The nail bed will stay in place in most cases, so shouldn't be a problem. 3 days after having the procedure, I was in western Canada walking around in the mountains, still wearing steel-toe boots. Guest guest
I used tea tree oil on a fingernail fungus everyday for a couple of months and it cured it. You might want to try this. --- julie gellertligon <drjuliegl@...> wrote: > Thanks everyone for the toe fungus info and advice. > I'm already using OTC stuff and my doc said I can't > use the oral prescription for various reasons. Guest guest
Thanks for the tea tree oil tip. I've already started the Vick's--tea tree oil sounds like a nice (if additionally smelly) addition. I really want to keep trying before a doc says, " Off with your nails!
