Guest guest
Hi, I've been reading (actually, re-reading) about the differences between RA and OA, and it seems I have some RA symptoms as well as the OA I've been diagnosed with. My OA is called " polyarticular osteoarthritis, " meaning I have it in any number of joints. With OA, morning stiffness is supposed to dissipate in 30 minutes or so, but I'm stiff all day. OA is said to affect joints on one side but not the other, but I have affected joints on both sides. Also, my rheumatoid factor is 167. My rheumatologist mentioned liver chemistry as the cause, and I'm being checked for Hep C. I also have fibromyalgia, bursitis, tendinitis and carpal tunnel. That, plus OA in several joints might make me feel stiff all day. So far, the pain is mild to moderate, with only occasional surges. My walking is getting steadily worse. So, RA with OA or just coincidence? Back to the rheumatologist to find out more.
