Guest guest
I have had 2 blood tests one showed a positive RA factor. I went to a new RA doctor and his test(the second one) showed a negitive. So I am confused and I am not sure if I should have a third or not. Is there a " Normal range " for RA factor or is it just a positive/negitive result? If it is negitive, does that rule out RA then?
Guest guest
Don't know if this helps you or not, but the blood tests I have had showed a " normal range " . The first test I took, I think the normal range was up to around 12-14. Mine was like a 28 (still really low compared to many people in this group.) But there are even people that are (I think the term is..) " seronegative " which means their blood tests do not detect RF, but they DO have RA. If you have the other symptoms or RA, but a low or no RF, it is likely you have RA. Your rheumatologist should be able to diagnose you with or without RF. in Texas kbr64151 <kbr64151@...> wrote: I have had 2 blood tests one showed a positive RA factor.
