Hi all!

I have been out of the loop for awhile and don't get to all my

digests, but I was wondering if any of you knew about the new AAP

policy that came out May 8, 2000. It actually mentions varying sleep

position in preventing plagiocephaly (recommendation #7 or 8)!!! Do

you think they will actually implement them in the near future?

http://www.aap.org/policy/re9946.html

I think those letters finally sunk in!

Also, BCBS of Oklahoma is very interested in plagiocephaly and

preventing it and want to feature it in an upcoming Member Newsletter

and possibly Physician's Notes sent to physicians (obviously). I was

quite amazed when our member advocate manager mentioned it to me. I

hope that it is a recognition of plagiocephaly being more than

cosmetic!!! Maybe the other insurance carriers and other BCBS

offices will follow suit. One can hope!!!

Take care!
