Guest guest
> Get a refferral to a GI doc. That sounds very much like what happened to me when I had my ulcer. It $ucked! Check it out. Thx, I have an appt with my pcp tomorrow. But she's the one who's misdiagnosed me many times in the past so I don't have a lot of faith. From what I've read, when you have ulcers, food sometimes helps, but with mine, food hurts *a lot*. Did you have any experience with that? Thx,
Guest guest
, when I had a bleeding ulcer, I did not have much stomach pain, just a little discomfort. But my blood work showed that I was bleeding somewhere in my body. We all certainly are different, aren't we? I remember when a friend of mine had an ulcer, she was taking an antacid all day to try to get relief from the pain. Guest guest
Ouch, ! I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had an ulcer many years ago (and am praying it doesn't return when I start mtx). At the time I was diagnosed with the ulcer, most food hurt *a lot.* I was often doubled over with the pain, and I didn't even have the worst kind of ulcer. With medication and a very bland diet, it was soon controlled and eventually healed. I hope your pcp helps you feel better quickly or refers you to a GI specialist. My rh doesn't think it's Arava or Pred, although I'm very suspicious of the Arava. I'll see tomorrow, although my PCP will probably tell me it's " just " heartburn and to take something OTC. He doesn't seem to think it's either Arava or Pred, and I don't think it's any of the other meds, so I'm not sure what'll happen when I see my pcp tomorrow. Should be interesting Thx,
