Hi Lynn:

Welcome to the group! You will find such wonderful

support and caring here, as well as great information.

I also have fibro and RA, as well as OA and Raynaud's.

I take much of the same medication as you do. I take

Methotrexate, Enbrel, Mobic for my RA, and Lyrica,

Skelaxin, Ambien CR, Zanaflex, and Effexor XR for

fibro, and Ultracet for the pain of both.

What I have found is that I have to set time apart for

myself to rest, sit down, read a book, or just nap.

That helps to lessen the fatique a bit, but I gotta

admit the fatigue never really goes away, just like

the pain does not either. You learn to deal with it.

There are days I have more energy, and I do a bit

more.

It must be so difficult taking care of a young child -

my kids were 12 and 15 when I was dx with RA, and

pretty much able to take care of themselves.

Have your child help you with chores like laundry,

folding and putting away. Help with simple things

like dusting, making her own bed, and taking care of

her own room will help you. I don't clean the whole

house in one day anymore, I take it one room at a

time, one hour or less at a time, then rest. If I

have more energy, I will do some laundry maybe.

Remember, you are more important than your house, and

housework will always be there, so put up with a

little dust. Don't stress the small stuff. Spend

time with your family. They are what is really

important, and what they will remember is time you

spent with them, not how clean the house was!

I am happy to have you here with us - I know you will

get a lot out of being here -
