Guest guest
Sounds like a job description from the County of San Diego. Now this wouldn't be in the Job announcement description that you will see in the job flyer or newspaper, but the 'essential functions' as listed in the official job description which can be pages long and only available on-line or at the HR dept. Yes, I have seen office jobs with weights you have to be able to lift, being able to walk, crawl and other physical requirements listed in jobs as essential function, that must be a sideways attempt of avoiding job accomidations, because they will use the official description to avoid making accomidations. So, it is possible to end up with a job, come down with RA and then be told you aren't able to meet the job requirements anymore. Sucks, huh? And yes, it gets fought, and they lose, but it is there for the folks who don't fight it. ________________________________________________________________________ Check out AOL.com today.
