Guest guest
For all of you decorating with stickers...We decided not to paint the band but just use stickers and change them every week. It is fun for my older daughter to pick out fun things. I do not use anything like nail polish or a varnish to keep them on. If they loosen (and few have) I just replace them with a new one. Anyway, I just used some stickers to create a scuba scene. They were metallic and glittery (plastic based) and when it was time to change them they peeled right off with little residue left on the band. The ones I used before were paper based and they left a very sticky residue that I had to use nail polish remover and baby oil to get off. The metallic ones were very easy to work with. That's what we'll be using in the future. Sue
Guest guest
Amy, There is a product called " Goo Gone " that you can buy at places like Hobby Lobby, s and even WalMart and Home Depot (I think). It is made just for removing sitcky residue like that! The company that makes that product also makes something called " Sticker Lifter " (I think that is what it is called) and it comes with a little device that helps scrape away the residue - it worked really good for us! Also, you can clear some of the residue with the rubbing alcohal that you use to clean the helmet, but it takes lots of elbow grease! Guest guest
Amy, I haven't tried it on the DOC band, but what about cooking oil? I know I used that a few times on taking prices off of things I bought that left the sticky stuff. Just a thought! ' Mom
