Guest guest
Hi all, I feel like I've been quite a freeloader. I PROMISE if I ever know anything I will pitch in. But for now, I just have questions. Right now I am in the early stages of getting diagnosed (I have symptoms of more than one kind of arthritis apparently, some kind of smorgasbord, so diagnosis is still ongoing). I had xrays that indicated " mild " (hah!) arthritis in my neck. I do have what I think of as arthritic pain there (it feels like my hands and feet feel in the mornings). But I also have something else going on of late, and I wanted to ask if it's typical. I tried looking it up in the archives, but have had no luck. Here's my question: I am getting a weird, sharp pain in my neck. It's not " achy. " And it's a response to movement--not movement at the edge of my range of (neck) movement, just normal movement (like I'm just looking more or less straight ahead, not craining my neck around). It happens when I'm moving my head around just a little, in the ordinary course of the day. It doesn't last or anything--it's like a sudden burst. Then it's gone. It's hard to explain. But maybe somebody recognizes something about it? Like I said, it's not the pain I get in hands and feet, or even in my neck most of the time. many thanks, Lynda
