Guest guest
I had this twice as a child. I was wondering if anyone else with RA has had this and that maybe they are linked somehow. My rheumatologist said she didn't think so but I was just wondering.... Guest guest
my mom had RF when she was 13 or so. this was back during the depression, her uncle was a doctor and that was the day of the house call; they were country folks. She was terribly sick for months, apparently she developed RA along with the rf. They didn't know to keep her turned and I guess one of her hips shifted out of socket partially and fused that way. She was one of the toughest women i have ever known. She never talked about her childhood much, but when I was learning to play guitar at 13, she said, " that's about how old I was when i started learning. " I started to ask why she didn't keep it up, but then I looked at her poor little hands and just smiled at her. > > My mom had rheumatic fever when she was 16. she was also dx'd with r/a but > it wasn't as bad as mine and was dx'd later in life but her sister (my aunt) > has r/a like I do.
